East Coles delivers data at the firm & individual level in the Equities, Investment Banking & Corporate Performance Markets in Australia and also Asia through Charlton East Coles (www.charltoneastcoles.com). Performance is measured based on ratings from major corporate & institutional respondents.

Rankings for corporates are gathered across performance categories such as Effectiveness of CEO, Effectiveness of Board, Credibility and Investment Desirability. Investment bankers are evaluated across the M&A, ECM, DCM & Equities Research spaces and stockbrokers across various sectors such as Banks, Insurance, Media, Resources & Dealing. This unique research program focuses on both relationship and execution performance factors to produce "best of breed" benchmarking for players in the following areas:

The Team

East Coles has three senior executives who liaise with fund managers, bankers, brokers and corporates to gather data and service clients. Another team member manages data maintenance and data gathering.

Richard Beaurepaire

Executive Chairman

Richard joined East Coles in 2013 and has twenty years of manufacturing / service industry experience including divisional GM positions at Arnotts and Pepsico; and twenty years in the financial markets with Deutsche Bank, initially as Head of Equity Research for Australia; Head of Emerging Markets Research in London; Head of Asia-Pacific Research in HK and Tokyo; Head of Asia Research for Asset Management in Singapore; Head of Global Sector Product in London and HK. Nick Coles

Managing Director

Nick founded East Coles and has over twenty years’ experience in financial markets’ research. Nick is responsible for the day to day management of East Coles and has built strong relationships over the years with clients in the investment banking and broking industries, as well as within the ASX Top 200 corporates. He has also developed strong relationships within the funds management industry. These contacts enable the production of the annual research reports. Nick led the development of the extensive online database that manages all East Coles research projects, and that forms the foundation for the unique Interactive Analytics Platform.

Amelie Lee

General Manager

Amelie has been involved with East Coles since the year 2000. Amelie liaises with the buy and sell-sides and corporate executives to gather data for our annual Research projects, and coordinates the research team, administration and general management. LinkedIn Profile:

East Coles is a socially aware company, actively supporting and promoting several charities. A Director of East Coles is currently on the Board of Management at ICLA, a Sydney based charity providing support to the mentally ill.

Researchers in the The University of Melbourne's Department of Finance are utilising East Coles Financial Research data in an investigation of several factors, including analyst reputation (proxied by the East Coles Analyst Rankings), on the share price response to initiating recommendations. Their evidence sugggests that initiating hold recommendations made by a Top 10 analyst attract a different share price response to a non-top 10 analyst.
